Everything else is fuzzy as if it were a dream. The woman the schipperke was sold to was fairly wealthy, and would often pamper her pet. However, Cal was always more rough-and-tumble and preferred to play. Eventually, her owner caught on and bought Calypso more toys and started taking her outside more often. Life was good for the most part. One day, the lady had decided to visit a friend in Lux City, bringing her precious pet with her. Calli's owner and the friend she was visiting were very close, but this caused her to pay less attention to Calypso, who tends to wander. The tiny dog was trusted to return to return whenever she did so. While on a walk, the metal connector on Cal's leash. She continued following her owner for sometime before taking interest in the sights of the city. The dog wandered without realising how far she was until she looked back. Her owner was no where to be found and Calypso had no idea how to get back. She camped around the area for a few days before her worst fear was realized; she had been forgotten and it didn't look like her owner was coming back. And so, her journey in the city began. Although she began calling the streets home, she decided to always keep an eye out for the woman or someone who could help find her. Weeks later, Calypso came across two humans and their pup. The adults seemed wary and a bit anxious, but the pup seemed happy to pet her. He even fed her some of the tasty things in the shiny bag he was carrying. Eventually, the family had to leave. But Cal continued to follow them at a distance. They had been the first humans to pay her much mind and do something other than shoo her away. When they reached their home, the pup noticed the small black dog following them, turned to the older pair, then ran over to her to pick Calypso up, bringing her into the house. They cleaned her up, then allowed her to play with the pup again. But after some time, they placed her outside. Alone. After some tries at getting the people to open the door, she decided it would be best to come back some other time. The next day, Cal returned. They brought her in again, let her play for a while, then closed her out again. For a few days after that, she had no luck. They murmured to her in soft voices and shut the door on her again. Eventually, the humans let her in again but the same thing happened. She learned that she would still be living on the streets and the humans were only cleaning her up and feeding her occasionally, keeping the pup, who had begun calling her 'Midnight', happy. She wasn't too thrilled about that, but at least it gave her a fraction of companionship. Besides, it helped her focus on something other than finding her owner. the role player Alias • Blackshore Pronouns • Gender-Neutral, any pronouns are fine.
