Identifying Features • Spots, lean figure Overall Appearance • Eden is a sufficiently lean and fit canine. She sports an array of inky black spots over a base coat of snowy white. Both of her ears are almost completely cloaked in black, as opposed to her tail which has only a few spots near her rump. Her eyes are a bright auburn color. She has no visible scars or signs of marring. the personality Likes • Snow, heavy rain, observing others, making others laugh/smile Dislikes • Rudeness, impatient canines, greed, foul smells Strengths • Sense of smell, speed Weaknesses • Lack of hearing, strength, gullible Skills • Observant, empathetic, excellent at tracking, patient Fears • Nightmares, losing her sense of smell Overall personality • Being deaf. Eden lives differently than most canines. She has never viewed her lack of hearing as a drawback, rather, it is just something that makes her far more interesting than everyone else. She is endlessly positive and creative, but not without constant mental, social, and physical setbacks. When communicating, she is very attentive. Over time she has taught herself how to read "lips" and expressions. She can have simple, albeit, commonly one-sided conversation with most patient canines. Things get complicated when someone has very muddled ways of speaking or lacks the tolerance to take things slow with her so she might understand what's trying to be conveyed. She can say a few words in reply, mainly keywords. (i.e, "yes", "no", "fight", "food", "danger") She loves to make others laugh or smile when she can, viewing such things warms up her insides in a rather pleasant way. She tries to avoid angering others to the best of her ability because proper communication is overlooked when one's temper rises. Eden is gullible, almost to a fault. Either it be because she's young or because she hasn't been exposed to too many toxic or harmful environments. She approaches most situations with caution at first but, she can be swayed by a seemingly genuine smile. She's encountered quite a few sour sots, so it does take her a bit to warm up to someone. If she happens to be startled by sudden, unannounced physical contact she becomes tense until all danger is declared nonexistent. Touching her without giving her a visual cue or time to detect a scent is something that is quite bothersome to her. She'll allow for a few misunderstandings but if it becomes a problem she won't hesitate to put someone in their place. She loves to learn and meet new people. She's a very gentle and sweet soul, but also focused and determined. She wants to be seen as an asset rather than a broken piece that needs to be replaced or assisted. the history Father • Flint Mother • Paikea Siblings • ♀Pitia, ♂Hezekiah Overall History • Eden was born into a long line of purebred Dalmatians hailing from England. Her mother had spun a tale once of how her "grandfather, and his grandfather were all born to be the world's greatest helpers. So, they passed on the helper gene to every dog in their family tree!" Even to Eden and her two siblings, Pitia and Hezekiah. All three of them were destined to be service dogs from the day they were born, just like their grandfathers (and their mother and father). As soon as they could walk they were off to the academy. Hezekiah and Eden showed the most promise. Both of the pups had heaps of patience and loved the bits of food they were given when they did something right. Pitia, however, never understood the point of all of it and was quickly sent to live with a family. She turned out to be great with kids! Things were looking up for Eden when all of the sudden... everything slowly went quiet. She woke up one morning and couldn't hear a single thing. It was terrifying. She was ejected from the academy and sent to a shelter. The humans who made this decision were sure she would be adopted in a jiffy because of how stinking cute she was. What they hadn't predicted was how quickly a cute puppy went from being adoptable to being a lost cause when they lacked one of the five basic senses. Eden, who was left alone behind metal bars, watched as dog after dog was taken behind a blurry glass door only to never be seen or sniffed again. She knew she was bound to be next, she'd been there too long. She made a break for it one evening when an intern was cleaning up her cage, it was far too easy to leave that place behind. What wasn't easy, however, was living on her own at first. She was startled constantly, hungry without fail, and wandering aimlessly. She told herself that she wouldn't allow herself to be a pitiful little pup with no means to care for herself. She wouldn't be the charity case just because she wasn't like everyone else. In time, she built up a foundation for herself. She could make do without constant fear. She forced herself to learn from every day because she wasn't promised a tomorrow. Thus, she lives as a rogue traveling here and there... the role player Weepies • She/Her • PST • No Other Characters |
